How To Install Android Apps on The New Kindle Fire HD without root

The new Kindle Fire HD from amazon is a killer Android tablet with great features. But there is a problem, it is a locked system just like Apple's over priced i Devices :P It is a real pity that Amazon has created an Android tab and blocked Google completely out of the system. You can install apps from Amazon App Store but that is nothing compared to the plethora of apps available on Google Play Store. On top of that, there is even geographical restriction for purchasing free apps. You cannot install Google Play Store. But there are moded versions of Google's own apps like Gmail, Google Plus, Google Books, Blogger etc. Which you can find on the next post. You have to install Google framework and Google login first. This is because the Kindle Fire HD does not have an option to attach a Google account to the device. You can overcome this by rooting though. But who wants to root their brand new Kindle with so many free Amazon services? And what if you end up screwing up your device? You get a bricked Kindle Fire HD with no warranty!!! So don't root it unless you are sure of what you are doing.

So if you want to install APK on Kindle Fire HD without rooting follow these steps.

Following after the Final Fantasy series, this massive new RPG comes to Android!

For those not able to install this Modern Combat 3

appliances that are not in HD.

I did download the files, but when I install on my

Sony Ericsson Live Walkman, a message appeared something like this:

"The device is not compatible with the game please request a refund"

But the Smartphones Arc good grip,

But if Live has the same configuration as the Arc (minus the screen resolution), why not get them?

Well the game is HD and Live is HVGA, so what I did was change the way that gameloft recognizes

my phone, I changed my live to arc for the game

Here is The procedure:

First have to have root access.
( follow this tuto to make root )

And install root explorer

Open root explorer, go to the folder system, upon click

Mount R / W (that goes for you edit any files that are in the system folder

while R / W, the files can only be viewed,

when R / O, files can be edited.)

Tip, copy the file to your sd, if something goes wrong, just recover.

Copy the file and also the file build.prop build.prop.bak

Look for a file called build.prop, hold up and choose, Open in Text Editor.

There, you will find a screen like this.

Look for the lines highlighted in the image.

You will change them this way, pay attention, you have to be exactly like this:

I changed the WT19a (live walkman) by LT15i (Xperia Arc)

Note that 4 lines changed, and the third did not put the "i" at the end of the model.

Save the file, then click on R / O, only to be re-read.

Restart your phone.

Put the date in the game:

Android / Data / Here

Install Apk

Connect to the internet to check the files.

Have fun.

How to root the Kindle Fire HD 7 by pushing SuperUser via ADB commands

1. Download the SU zip file from HERE.

2. Extract the contents from the SuperUser zip in a single folder on your desktop.

3. Go to the newly created folder and open the ‘system’ directory, then open ‘bin’ and copy the ‘SU’ file and paste it in the folder you’ll be working from. Then, open ‘system’ directory and then ‘app’ folder and copy the ‘SuperUser.apk’ file and paste it in the same folder as the ‘SU’ file.

4. Connect your Kindle Fire HD 7 tablet to your PC via the original USB cable. Open Settings app on your Kindle Fire HD 7 and then select ‘Security’ and now you need to enable the ‘adb’.

5. Go to the folder that contains the SU and the SuperUser apk files. Press and hold ‘shift’ key and at the same time right-click in the folder’s white space. Select ‘Open command window here’.

6. Now you will need to push the files by using the command lines below:
adb shell
rmdir /data/local/tmp
ln -s /data/ /data/local/tmp
exit
adb reboot

7. Your device will restart and the local temp file was removed and now you will have a false link to the whole data directory. After the device reboots you have to enter the following commands:
adb shell
echo ‘ro.kernel.quemu=1′ > /data/local.prop
exit
adb reboot

8. The Kindle Fire HD 7 will now reboot and you need to push the SU binary files. Enter the following commands:
adb shell mount -o remount,rw /system
adb push su /system/xbin/su
adb shell
chown 0.0 /system/xbin/su
chmod 06755 /system/xbin/su
rm /data/local.prop
exit
adb reboot

9. A new restart will be applied and now you can push the SuperUser apk file. Enter this final command line:
adb install Superuser.apk

10. That is it. You’ve finally flashed the root on your Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7 tablet.

Here I'm gonna share some essential or must have apps for every Android phone. This list is very helpful for those new Android users who have no idea where to start and how to get apps.
